TECHNOLOGY’S ROLE IN DEVELOPMENT

Shamar Ward is currently an IT Officer (Operations) at the Caribbean Development Bank where he leads the development and piloting of innovative technologies which can benefit the banks borrowing member countries.
He has also had research published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Association for Computing Machinery and the European Alliance for Innovation focusing on low - cost smart technologies. In 2018, he was named an CNREP Young Innovative Communicator Finalist by the International Atomic Energy Agency after presenting a low - cost solution to communicate emergencies to the public at the UN headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
